| "Bound by Tradition"...
Tradition and Precision - resulting in the high level of quality of FLEISCHMANN products, praised for many years by the trade and the specialist magazines. That's how our customers profit by it. With Fleischmann, it doesn't just start with the idea, but naturally with the rather larger real thing. In the subsequent expensive, manufacturing process, nothing is left to chance. It starts with close examination of the actual original drawings of the prototype, which need to be transferred by CAD engineers, millimetre-exact,. down to model railway scale. The correct choice of material is very important. High-grade plastics are premium requirements for the highest product quality and magnifying-glass clear lettering. This can only be achieved by the unbelievably sharp tampon printing method. Cover plates, lids and ventilator grills on the roof, finely finished bogie sides, pressurized rubber corridor connections or the delicate isolators are all made possible by Fleischmann's excellent materials and construction methods - all made with robustness in usage in mind. Even on the ICE-T with its seemingly "flat" surfaces, you can pick out the tiniest of details on closer inspection. Quality in the detail: There are lots of technical delights contained within Fleischmann's rolling stock. Their wagons are renowned for their outstanding rolling qualities. Those who know say that they are as sensitive as the bubble in a level. That's why Fleischmann's powerful locos have no trouble in hauling wagons up gradients. A special requirement for the Fleischmann engineers is to incorporate the technology of the prototype into the models. Even their tilting trains actually lean into the curves just like the real ones. Childishly simple digital conversion: Would you like to fit your locomotives with a TWIN-DECODER so that you can enjoy the benefits of digital multi-train control? No problem: Many locos in the Fleischmann range are already fitted with a socket for simple fitting of the decoder - doing away with "spaghetti wiring". The finish: All of Fleischmann's locomotives, wagons, points, signals and turntables undergo a strict final control for operation and finish. No loco leaves the factory until it has successfully undergone its final examination. |
